About the Role
Sweet Talk Cafe is looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team.
This role is about more than just cooking, it’s about taking pride in your work, maintaining high standards, and contributing to a smooth, supportive, and efficient kitchen environment. You’ll play a key part in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to excellence and customer experience.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced café setting, values teamwork, and brings a calm, positive energy to service.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Preparing and executing menu items to a consistently high standard
• Maintaining quality, presentation, and portion control
• Supporting the overall kitchen flow during busy service periods
• Contributing to a clean, organised, and efficient workspace
• Assisting with prep, stock management, and daily kitchen operations
• Working collaboratively with the team to deliver a seamless customer experience
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in a fast-paced cafe or kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Confidence in maintaining consistency during busy periods
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Strong communication and reliability
• Understanding of food safety and kitchen cleanliness standards
